Paraiso del Mar (Paradise of the Sea) is located on a special piece of land called El Mogote, a peninsula on the Bay of La Paz, and bordered by over five miles of beach frontage on the Sea of Cortez. To preserve the wild dunes that buffer the beaches and provide a delightful beachfront trail, the developer has doubled the usual setbacks. While the development occupies almost 1700 acres, more than 800 of those acres have been set aside for wildlife sanctuaries and mangrove preserves which resulted in the creation of a “biological corridor”. The peninsula extends for many miles for those who wish to walk or run. Sunrise or sunset beach strolls afford spectacular unforgettable vistas.
The surrounding sea provides endless possibilities for adventures, whether it’s fly fishing from the beach, sea kayaking, sailing, snorkeling with the sea lions and dolphins, swimming with the whale sharks, scuba diving, strolls on the beach or sun-bathing. For those who simply want to relax away from the sand, there are neighborhood pools and jacuzzis in both villas and casas.
The heart and soul of this resort community is the 18-hole golf course designed by world-renowned Arthur Hills. This is more than a golf club; Paraiso del Mar Golf and Country Club offers the amenities that the finest country clubs enjoy including a clubhouse and tennis courts and the natural benefits of a beach community.
The city of La Paz is just a 10-min boat ride away, with its Malecon – a coastal promenade of several kilometers along sandy beaches, historical downtown, numerous cultural evens, diverse dining and nightlife.
Paraiso del Mar is a celebration of all that is Mexico, of life in the Baja and La Paz with its great weather, tasty food and generous people.
